Spain is known for its beautiful weather, beautiful people, and laid back outlook on life. Rarely do you see a Spaniard worried, or panicked, they just go with the flow of life. Unfortunately, that lax attitude came back to haunt the citizens of Adara, Spain earlier this year when they ignored warnings of flash flooding in the area.
Rather than evacuate, the people went about their lives as normal. Until the streets turned into rivers of floating cars, houses flooded, and the people generally became terrified. I love the Mediterranean lifestyle, but sometimes the weatherman’s advice must be heeded! See the video below, the footage is crazy.
During the flooding, one person was killed, which is very sad and flights to and from the nearby airport were halted. Can California borrow some of that water?
