commonly referred to as the 'tabletop mountain' Roraima spans  spans the borders of  Brazil, Venezuela, and Guyana. This is thought to be one of the world's oldest land formations, and has fauna and plantations, that are unique to the mountain. 

There have been many legends about this mountain, and it has been the inspiration for many stories, over the centuries. For example, it is belived that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, was inspired by Mount Roraima, when he wrote ' The Lost World'.

One of the first visitors  was the English explorer Sir Walter Raleigh, who, was led to believe that there were diamonds and special stones upon it. became frustrated very quickly, when he realized that he could not climb it. Almost 400 years later, a group of youngsters from the UK, have attempted to recreate his failed Journey.
