Special attention on preserving the life of the turtles has been paid in Japan. The railroad companies in the country have recently invented a great way to keep the turtles safe when they are crossing their train tracks. The Japan railroad companies have invented a turtle tunnel that passes under the tracks.

These tunnels are very useful, as when crossing the tracks the turtles can get crushed by trains or can get stuck in track switches, which are causing delays. The especially designed tunnels solve problems for both turtles and humans! These tunnels have been developed in a partnership between the West Japan Railway Company and the Suma Aqualife Park in Kobe.
