There is a Facebook page called Driving Miss Norma and it is getting quite a popularity. Miss Norma is a 90 years old lady, who recently learned the devastating news about her illness. Just within a two-week span, the partner and husband of Norma of 67 years has passed away and she was diagnosed with cancer. The doctors offered Norma three options: surgery, radiation, and chemo. But there was no guarantee that she would get through the initial surgery.

She decided to do something different instead. With the Paul Coelho’s thought in mind "One day you will wake up and there won't be any time to do the things you've always wanted. Do it now.", Norma started traveling.

She took a journey across the United States, sightseeing and visiting historic places of interest, taking part in numerous adventures, and posting them all online. Respect, Norma! That is a life worth living!

"I'm 90 years old, yet I'm hitting the road." This is what Norma told her family as she had no interest in getting a treatment. Her relatives respected her decision and not wanting to leave Norma home alone without her husband Leo or in a nursing home, they thought of a plan.

Norma's family asked the doctor if that is an irresponsible decision. "Being doctors we see what cancer treatment looks like every day. Honestly, there is no guarantee she will survive the initial surgery to remove the mass. You are doing exactly what I would want to do in this situation. Have a fantastic trip!”, the doctor told them.

This Is Exactly What Norma Does.

Norma may not have any control over what the future holds for her or how much time she has left. Yet, she knows that she is going to make the most of every day by living life to the fullest.
