Well, recently it became clear that it is not only teenagers that need to wear braces. This six-month-old Golden Retriever dog called Wesley had teething problems with closing his mouth and had to wear braces.
The dog’s owner Molly Moore said “Once his adult teeth started coming out, we noticed they were coming in wrong and he was unable to close his mouth fully. He wasn’t playing with his toys and he was losing weight. I was worried, we needed to do something for him to be pain free and live a happy puppy life,” she said.
While the braces were affixed to his teeth, the pup was anesthetized in Harborfront Hospital for Animals. The dog was not bothered at all! After all he’ll have to wear them for only a couple of weeks. What a lucky dog!
