From the 13th of May to the 31st of October last year, His mission? To change the locals’ perception of value, the artist started a project called “Once Upon A Town”. The painter told the Red Bull crew “Add a little paint and this will not be just a scruffy shack any more. It’s a shack with artwork and thus - a part of a huge open-air art gallery. This changes everyone’s perception.”
Falko is now a famous graffiti artist and is on the graffiti scene for almost 30 years now. The first wall he painted was at the Westridge High School in Mitchell’s Plain. This was “regarded as an integral part of the foundation and graffiti scene development in South Africa”.
