Catfish are a tasty delight in US. The only problem is that they aren't usually that big. They even have noodling tournament in the southern United States, where the contestant have to catch the catfish using only bare hands, the heaviest catfish owner will win the contest.I am not sure if Katt Daddy (one of the famous noodling contestant) would be interested to try this big guy with his bare hands if he get a chance? However, it's rarely to catch such a giant catfish in the history of noodling. In Italy, professional fisherman Dino Ferrari managed to land a 280 pound giant wels catfish in Italy's Po Delta, of cause not using bare hands but a fishing rod. (That's a strong rod)
Ferrari caught the massive fish in Po River. It runs for 400 miles and is Italy's longest river.
The Po River is well known for its big wels catfish, most of the ones caught there are smaller than 6.5 feet long. This guy clocked in at about 8.8 feet long, 280 pound.
Would it be even more impressive if this giant catfish was landed in a noodling contest?
