Two friends from China, one blind and one armless, have spent ten years planting 10 000 trees. The blind man called Jia Haixia and his friend Jia Wengi had a dream to revive the region around the village Yeli, located in northeastern China. Haixia was born blind with one eye and lost the sight of the other eye in 2000 during a work accident. His friend Wengi lost his two arms in an accident when he was just 3 years old. This, however, was not an obstacle for the two friends. Together they made a good team, leasing 8 acres of land from the government and replanting that land with trees in order to provide protection for the village from the flooding.
