Does this little frog look somehow familiar to you? Scientists just discovered this Kermit look-alike in the jungles of Costa Rica. This new species is been given the name Diane’s Bare-Hearted Glassfrog (Hyalinobatrachium dianae). The senior scientist who found the frog named it after his mother, Janet Diane Kubicki. It’s been only discovered recently because of its distant location (between 400m and 800m above sea level). What makes this little guy special besides looking like Kermit is his translucent belly. That's where the name "Glassfrog" comes from.
