Brave Teenager Saves Woman And Her 3 Children By Pulling Them Out Of Burning Car

A teenager from Connecticut, USA, is currently making headlines all over the internet for doing something not many of us would.

The boy that we are talking about managed to save the lives of a woman and her 3 children by pulling them out of a burning car.

Yes, that happened.

On September 9, 2020, the Waterbury Police Department received a bunch of calls, where they were informed that a woman was trapped inside car.

18-year-old Justin Gavin was walking on his way to a local Walgreens when he realized that something was wrong.

The boy talked about the incident with CNN, where he said:

I’m yelling stop the car! Your car is on fire! Your car is on fire! I just felt like if I was in that situation, I would want somebody to help me out.

The mother was having a hard time stopping the vehicle, so instead of just letting it happen, the boy decided to help.

The boy chased down the burning car to help the family escape.

The boy stopped the car, opened the car door, removed the mother, and pulled out the 3 children that were in the back seat of the car.

A 4-year-old, 9-year-old, and a 1-year-old boy were saved by the 18-year-old.

Moments after being pulled out, the car ended up being engulfed completely by flames.

The police department has honored the 18-year-old boy as a hero.

Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo talked about the incident and said:

I hope that when you have that coin it just reminds you of this day and you can reflect back on all the good that came out of this for you and that family that you saved.

Gavin told CNN that the entire incident was inspiring and it helped him realize that life is short.

No one was injured in the incident, confirmed the authorities.
