United States of America: Imagine sitting on a table and enjoying a day out with your family just so a bear can crash it and call it their party.
A family recently went through that and luckily, no one was harmed and every thing was caught on camera.
Kaitlyn Nesbit and her family were trying to have a getaway when they came face to face with a wild black bear.
Nesbit, who works as a manager at a bridal store, shared the entire encounter with the bear on TikTok, where it went viral right away.
Why did this encounter go viral? Well, there was one lad in the group who decided to treat the bear like a normal person, which you should never do.
A member of the group was caught on camera fixing the bear a peanut butter sandwich.
Yes, a sandwich, for a bear.
Talking about the incident, Nesbit said:
This was a friend’s cabin and they said that the bear is always around and never really bothers them. Some of our group are used to being out in the wild so we were all told to not make sudden movements and stay where we were. Most of us were scared to death and filmed from the deck but the brave tested their luck.
Once the video went viral, they were stormed with comments.
People on social media were quick to criticize the acts of the group, considering that bears should not be given food directly.
This is avoided for the safety of humans.
Not only that, but it is illegal in Maryland, USA, to feed bears.
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources released a statement about the incident and reminded people that they should never feed the animal.
The statement said:
DON’T FEED IT! Scare it away. Make loud noises, bang pans, or yell. Seeing bears can be very enjoyable. However, having a bear in camp can lead to problems that will persist long after you have gone home. If a problem becomes serious, your safety and the bear’s safety may become jeopardized.
The good thing is that no one got injured and the bear eventually left the scene.
