Typically we understand working as standing on a desk. Yet now we can all see the latest revolution and it is – working lying down. This incredible invention was made by John Speicher, a co-founder of Altwork who is suffering from a back injury.

The Altwork station was designed in Sonoma Valley, California and it allows the users to pick from four different positions when working. These positions start from standing to lying down, which is made possible by magnets. The main aim of the company, however, is to modernize how we work.

“We are not aiming at getting a general purpose desk,” said the Altwork cofounder and CEO Che Voigt. “Our desk is designed for people that need to operate a computer such as technical writers, CAD engineers, animators, financial traders.”
