Have you ever thought of the reason as to why Rose from Titanic found it hard to stay on her toes for long? It's damn hard. Becoming a swan is probably one of the hardest things to accomplish. It more than just the 8 steps found in wiki. Be prepared to endure swollen wounds, black nails and even deformed toes.

In as much as there is little to no record to mark the inaugural Ballet Day, two explanations exist as to why February 7 is the day. February 7, 1827 marks the day ballet was first introduced to the United States at the Bowery Theater. It is also on record that the Dutch Prince William III danced during the premier of the ''Ballet of Peace'' held on February 7, 1666.

If you are a ballet dancer yourself, do not forget to share your experiences in the comment section below or better yet upload your picture to mark this memorable day.
