A video that is viral on social media right now shows the moment a woman entered a monkey enclosure in a zoo.

It was later found out that the woman entered the monkey enclosure in order to feed the animals Hot Cheetos.
The incident happened at the El Paso Zoo in El Paso, Texas.
The woman, who was not named, was caught on camera entering the enclosure and going towards the waterfall.
She then threw snacks at the primates.
After doing feeding the animals, the woman came back and was helped back up by someone before the video was cut off.
Despite the woman being not named, the company that she was working for decided to fire her.
In support of the zoo, the law firm that she was working for announced that the woman has been terminated from the company.
The Lovett Law Firm released a statement about the incident, saying:
We learned this morning that the individual who was filmed trespassing in the spider monkey enclosure of the El Paso Zoo was an employee of Lovett Law Firm. She has been terminated. The firm has always been a strong supporter of animals and animal advocacy. We absolutely do not condone this irresponsible and reckless behavior. We support the El Paso Zoo and our thoughts go out to the spider monkeys, Libby and Sunday, and hope that they will recover from this very traumatic experience.
Joe Montisano, the director of the zoo, called the woman stupid.
He also said that the woman is lucky because if things went wrong, she could have ended in a different place.
Mason Kleist, a keeper at the zoo, said:
These are primates we’re talking about, they could do some substantial damage to you. They may be small monkey’s but they can take you to the ground if they wanted to. Anything that we have they could get as well so Covid is no different. We took the necessary steps to prevent them from getting that, so for someone to just go in there and give them food from their hands could just ruin that.
Feeding snacks such as Cheetos are not preferred by zoo experts.
Monkeys have a specialised diet, which they are used to. A change can cause stomach problems.
Another thing that we know is that the monkeys could have end up being euthanised in case they attacked the woman. Luckily, that did not happen.
