A saint can be used to describe a man from Bulgaria.

Dobrev gave out all the money that he used to get orphanages and churches.

Dobrev lost most of his hearing during World War II and lives around 15 miles outside of Sofia.

He spent his days asking people for money, however, he never kept a cent for himself.

The man lived off his monthly pension of $100 and gave out all his donations to institutions that are most dear to him, which are orphanages and churches.

The story of Dobrev went viral in 2017 when Reddit user Nullvoid123 wrote on the site that he has met Dobrev a number of times.

Dobrev said that he is trying to make up for his past transgression by helping others.

A video that was released by the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral says that he once gave them around $24,000.

He also gives out money to orphanages to help them pay their utility bills.

In the movie that was made by the church, Dobrev said:

The good will is just and true. Everything in it is good. We must not lie, nor steal, nor commit adultery. We must love each other as God loves us.

The movie Mite was produced in 2000.

Dobrev sadly passed away a year after the user shared his story.

He was once known as Grandpa Dobri, Elder Dobri or The Saint of Bailovo.
