A 24-year-old man from Florida who stole a truck, a sword, and a laptop got arrested after investigating officers found his phone at the crime scene.
Daemeion Grady, who has a lengthy criminal history, allegedly stole a truck, sword, and other items at a house in St. Petersburg.
However, they forgot their phone behind.
Grady was charged with carjacking, resisting arrest, armed burglary, and possession of controlled substances, methamphetamine and crack cocaine with intent to sell.
So how was he caught? I guess the answer to that question is pretty easy.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office tracked him down through the phone.
It contained full photos and videos of the man.
The Tampa Bay Times said that the owner of the house caught Grady in his kitchen on April 20.
The man noticed that his laptop was missing and upon investigating, the man was found holding a Samurai sword, the keys of the truck, his laptop, and other items.
Grady then ordered him to pick up a clothes hamper that was filled with stolen items from the house.
He then told him to put it in the truck.
The man then drove away in the truck.
The fingerprints of Grady were found on the sword.
Grady has been arrested before.
He has a history in burglary, robbery and drugs.
As of writing this, he was in jail.
