Islamic Republic of Iran electric shocking gay children, says new report by United Nations

A new report that was published by the United Nations has revealed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is using electric shocks on gay, transgender, bisexual, and lesbian children.

The report was shared on February 10, 2021.

The report addresses widespread human rights violations in Iran.

Javaid Rehman, the UN Special Rapporteur for Iran, said ‘lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender children were subjected to electric shocks and the administration of hormones and strong psychoactive medications.’

Rehman added that the kids were being tortured.

He continued:

The amount to torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment, and violate the State’s obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The Jerusalem Post said that kids that are gay, bisexual, lesbian, and transgender are not treated well in the country.

Communities call the kids subhuman and diseased.

Not only that, but harsher punishments are also present in the country for kids.

Death penalty is also an option of anyone in the country is caught having a sexual intercourse between the same gender.

Intercourse where men to men are subjected can result in death penalty, and in women to women intercourse, 100 lashes can be administered.
