Jaden Smith wants to open permanent restaurant to help feed the homeless and hungry

Jaden Smith, the son of Will Smith, a legendary actor, wants to open a permanent restaurant in Los Angeles so they could help feed the homeless and hungry.

Not only in LA, but they also want to look at other major cities.

Jaden, an actor and a rapper, runs the “I Love You” Restaurant initiative, which started 2 years ago.

Upon turning 21, he came up with the idea with the sole purpose to help combat foo insecurity for Los Angeles’ homeless people. 

On the official website that Jaden has for his initiative, he says: 

Our mission is to spread love to communities experiencing food and/or housing insecurity by offering water along with fresh, high-quality, and delicious sustainable meal options.

So far, the vegan meals that they offer has served around 8,000 at risk individuals along the Los Angeles Skid Row.

Residents in New York City and Harlem area have also receive help thanks to the initiative. 

Jaden said that the main goal of the initiative is to allow the homeless people get free food.

During an interview with Variety Magazine, he said: 

It’s for homeless people to get free food. But if you’re not homeless, not only do you have to pay, but you have to pay for more than the food’s worth so that you can pay for the person behind you.

Such an amazing initiative, right?
