A loyal dog has been living by the parking of his former owner’s work place and is patiently waiting for his return despite the fact that they passed away 5 years ago, leaving them alone.
Da Huang, the loyal dog, has been living at the same spot for the last 5 years, patiently waiting for their owner to return.
The dog was adopted by kind-hearted neighbors, however, they ran away and went to the same spot again to wait for their owner.
Da Huang is currently being compared by social media users to Hachiko, a dog in Japan.
Hachiko waited for its owner at the train station every day for 9 straight years despite the owner dying.
According to reports, Shen, the owner of Da Huang, worked as a security guard at a car park in China.
Da Huang was a stray dog before he got rescued by Mr. Shen.
The incident happened in the Huanggu District of Shengyang City, northeastern China.
Over the years, he stayed with Shen by the security booth and became a guard dong.
In 2015, Sheng passed away and Da Huang has been patiently waiting for his owner to return at the car park every day.
People that live in the area know the history of Da Huang and have built him a home.
A kennel with old cushions and clothes have been built in the car parking, where Da Huang patiently waits all day long.
When Da Huang sees someone passing, they approach and check if it’s Mr. Shen.
A local said:
Da Huang has been living there for the last five years. He refused to get adopted. You can be friends with him but he will never treat you as his owner. He only has one thing to do – to find Mr Shen.
Talking about the dog, the local said that Da Huang approaches anyone that is tall and skinny, because it’s the same body frame of Mr. Shen.
She added:
Da Huang will become alerted if there a tall, skinny man walking past. But his vision is getting worse. You can see the disappointment from his eyes and understand how lonely he is. It’s a sad story.
Locals feed Da Huang and give him a bath from time to time to make sure he is clean and is getting proper care.
