A pastor from Zambia passed away after they were reportedly tied up and buried for 3 days while trying to recreated the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
James Sakara, the pastor, convinced his congregation that he could resurrect in 3 days just like Jesus Christ did and told them to bury him beneath the earth.
Sakara was the pastor of the Zion church in Chadiza, Zambia.
The 22-year-old was then found dead when he was dug back up 3 days later.
According to reports, the pastor convinced three church members to assist in his resurrection by helping him dig a grave.
Before attempting the resurrection, he quoted from the Bible and explained that Christ’s instruction to his disciples to “do this in remembrance of me” actually referred to his resurrection and not just the use of bread and wine during the Holy Communion.
The 3 assistants tied the hands of the priest before burying him alive.
He was left alone under the ground for 3 days.
3 days later, the assistants returned to the site to dig him up and upon doing such thing, they discovered his lifeless body.
After learning about the death of the pastor, the police launched a manhunt for the 3 pastors.
One of the 3 have handed themselves to the police and the other 2 are currently on the run, said a report by DailyStar UK.
Official reports said that Sakara left behind a young wife who is pregnant.
