A Russian trophy huntress is currently in serious trouble after she shared pictures of her posing with a goat that she had slaughtered.
According to a report by DailyStar, the 32-year-old trophy huntress posed with a Red Book Ibex that she had just killed.
Tatyana Baulina, 32, showed off photos of the dead animal on her hunting social media.
She is now facing a check by the Russian Investigative Committee.
She was hit with strong criticism in Russia despite the fact that people in the country are extremely open to issues such as hunting.
Oleg Khorokhordin is the head of the government in Altai Republic, which is located in Siberia.
Baulina took the pictures in the Alatai Republic, where locals and the government were not happy with her acts.
Oleg said that even if Baulin had a license for killing, the pictures that she posted on social media were immoral.
A picture that she shared shows the ibex’s horns strapped to Baulina’s backpack.
Talking about the pictures, Oleg said:
I have always been indifferent to hunting and oppose the extraction of animals, which many residents of the republic consider sacred, like our whole nature. The moral aspect is also important. Even if all this is legal, and there really are licenses, why publish such defiant photos and videos of the shooting on social networks?
Baulina also mentioned in the post that she used a March optical riffle score with 40 times zoom.
She also said that she aimed at the animal from a vantage point above the herd.
Experts believe that she used a powerful Heym SR 30 straight-pull rifle while killing the goat.
A decision is yet to be made on any legal action.
Baulina was born in Tula. She graduated from Moscow’s National Research University’s Higher School of Economics, a very prestigious school in the country.
