Not all heroes wear capes, some wear scrubs.
A nurse that was trapped under the deadly pile-up involving 100 vehicles ended up crawling out of it and rushed straight to work.
Yep, she did that.
Rebecca Benson, who is from Texas, USA, said that she is grateful that she got out off the crash without any injuries.
A pile-up in Texas that was caused by a snow storm left 6 people dead and hundreds injured.
Benson was on her way to work when her car started to slide on the icy Interstate 35.
She recalled:
I’m trying to not spin out and to figure out if I can stop. I mean, my foot was as close to going through the floorboard as it possibly could be and I realized that there’s no stopping.
The woman said she crashed into a Coca-Cola semi and a car hauler semi.
It crated a triangle on the highway.
She added:
I wanted the car there and prayed to God that I would be okay and that’s when I hit them. I looked in my rearview mirror and can see all of these cars heading towards me. That was the scariest part, knowing that I survived this part but now the chances of me getting completely smashed by all the cars and semis behind me.
She called in the moment like a scene out of a zombie movie.
She was helped out of the car by another person that was in the area.
The first thing that she did after being free was call up a colleague who was nearby.
The colleague gave her a ride and they 2 got to the hospital, where they work.
She was checked out by doctors herself later.
She had pain on her neck, shoulder, and left elbow.
She also had bruises at some part of her body.
