Canadian politician who was caught urinating on camera during video conference apologises

A politician from Canada who was caught urinating on camera during a video conference has released an apology letter to the public. 

William Amos, a lawmaker, was recently caught on camera urinating during a live video conference.

Amos said that they were “deeply embarrassed” by the incident.

The incident happened on May 26, 2021. 

Amos, who is a federal Member of Parliament, representing Pontiac, Quebec, for the Liberal Party, has released an apology for the incident.

In a statement that they released on Twitter, they said: 

I am deeply embarrassed by my actions and the distress they may have caused anybody who witnessed them.

After the incident, they also announced that they will be stepping aside for some time.

They are currently a Parliamentary Secretary.

They will also step aside from their duties in order to seek assistance. 

They went on:

I will continue to represent my constituents and I’m grateful to be their voice in parliament. I am deeply appreciative for the support of my staff and the love of my family.
