Owner Reunited With Pet Dog That Went Missing 8 Years Ago Thanks To Microchip

A woman from Wales is currently the happiest person in the world thanks to the fact that they got reunited with their pet dog that went missing around 8 years ago.

Magdalena Klubczuk, the woman, feared that Roxy, her Shih Tzu, had been run over and killed after she disappeared from their garden in the spring of 2013.

The 35-year-old woman spent most of her time finding Roxy, who was 3 years old at that time.

She also got in touch with numerous agencies and vets to ask if they had any news about her.

After some time, she gave up, considering that she had no success.

But recently, she got a call that she was not expecting.

Dawn Taylor, a member of the Skylor’s Animal Rescue told her that they found Roxy wandering the streets of Buckley.

That’s one call she was not expecting, for real.

Roxy was found at around 11 pm on New Year’s Evening and took her to the centre where Dawn scanned her to check for a microchip.

Magdalena was called and the good news was given to her.

During an interview with The Daily Post, Magdalena said:

When I received the phone call I told them it was not possible. When she explained I couldn’t even speak I was that shocked. We’ve spent all these years thinking she was dead. I was at work and she was at home with my son and my brother, the door was open for her to go into the garden. When I got home I realised she was gone. She had a collar on with my details on it and she was chipped so I’m starting to think she may have been stolen. I reported it to the vets, but I heard nothing and over time just gave up hope. I was just in total disbelief. I actually told her it wasn’t possible because my dog was next to me on the sofa, then I realised she was talking about Roxy.

Roxy was held overnight at the animal rescue centre, where Dawn sent her for a check-up.

The sad part is that there is a mammary tumor in the dog.

Magdalena said that she will be taking the dogs to the vets on Monday.

The dog is currently skinny, which is not a good indication.

Talking about the dog, Magdalena said:

I will be taking her to the vets on Monday. She looks well, but she is very skinny. Until then we just don’t know how serious the tumor is. It was such an emotional reunion, I felt like she recognized me when she saw me.

Roxy is currently staying with a friend of Magdalena.
