Animal Tamer Is Ripped To Shreds By Lion In Front Of Crowd At Egyptian Circus

A 35-year-old Animal tamer was performing for a crowd in a circus show in Alexandria, northern Egypt, when they were ripped to shreds by a lion.

According to a report by Al Arabiya.net, the victim, 35-year-old Shaheen Islam, was attacked by the lion during a circus act.

Islam worked as a trainer in the Alexandria’s Lion Village.

The incident originally happened in 2016, however, a video of the incident recently went viral.

Islam died from the horrifying injuries that they had sustained.

The trainer was reportedly giving a presentation in the metal cage for students when the animal turned on him.

A video that was shot by an audience member shows the lion tamer teasing the lion by standing extremely close to it.

The animal could be seen charging and leaping on top of him.

He only had a stick with himself to defend himself from the lion.

The crowd could also be heard screaming as circus workers rushed to help the tamer out.

Islam was rushed to the Andalusian Salam hospital’s intensive care in the Smouha area, east of Alexandria, however, they passed away.

Islam suffered a fractured skull, broken bones in his chest and deep cuts to his face and neck.

He also had abdominal bleeding.

The brother of Islam said that the lion that attacked him was brought from South Africa.
