A dog owner was stunned when her pet gave birth to a cyclops puppy that only had one eye, no nose, and 2 tongues.
The incident happened in Aklan province of the Philippines.
Amie de Martin, the owner of the dog, said that she gave birth to only 2 puppies despite going through menopause.
The first puppy was normal, however the second one was malformed.
The birth happened n February 6, 2021.
In the images that he shared, the puppy was seen with a pale color and having a hard time breathing.
He also had 2 massive tongues sticking out on the side of their mouth.
The distinctive eye is positioned in the centre of the head an the poor one did not have any nose.
The puppy was also having a hard time drinking milk from his mother, so Amie had to feed the puppy some puppy formula.
He also brought the little one to the vets and named him Cyclops, however, he passed away a day after the pup was born.
The vets said it had no proper breathing organs.
Talking about the puppy, Amie said:
The vet said that Cyclops’ mother probably ate something toxic. But Cyclops’s mother is a menopausal puppy so that might have been another reason. Cyclops couldn’t drink milk from her. We had to feed him using a dropper and with powdered milk.
Instead of burying the dead cyclops puppy, Amie decided to preserve him in a glass box to remember him.
