Dumb Indian tries to send 10 kilograms of cocaine to Australia through courier

A man from India is making headlines all over the world for trying to send 10 kilograms of cocaine to another country through courier.

The Chandigarh Police said that over 10 kilograms of cocaine worth over ₹ 100 crore was recovered from a man that was trying to send the narcotic to Australia.

The police also revealed that they were acting upon a tip-off from a local.

A police team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (South Division) Shruti Arora arrested Ashfaq Rahman.

Rahman is a resident of Chennai.

The police reportedly recovered 10 kilograms of cocaine from his possession.

The accused had brought the consignment to Chandigarh with hopes of sending to Australia through a courier.

Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal said that the drugs were hidden in a wooden tray dully sealed by plywood.

The box had cardboard boxes and crockery items.

Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal said that the accused was brought in a court on Friday.

The authorities are now trying to find out where the large amount of cocaine came from.
