A French ticketholder has officially won the £184million EuroMillions jackpot.
According to reports, it was the largest ever EuroMillions jackpot at £184million (€220million).
The jackpot is so high that a report by DailyMail claims that the winner is now richer than Adele, a popstar who is believed to have a net worth of £130 million.
The ticketholder, who is from France, has 60 days to make themselves known and claim their prize.
Before this jackpot, the largest one was £180 million (€210million) which was pocketed by a Swiss ticketholder in February.
As of writing this article, there have been 5 UK EuroMillions jackpot winners so far this year.
2 of them are anonymous winners, who won a total of £122 million in April and £111 million in June.
In the UK, the biggest jackpot winners who went public were Frances and Patrick Connolly, from Northern Ireland, who scooped a £115 million prize in 2019.
The EuroMillions jackpot is currently capped at £184million.
At this point, it cannot be rolled over again, and it will stay at that level for a further 4 draws if no one claims the winnings.
DailyMail explained that “It must be won in the fifth draw and if no ticket matches all the numbers it is shared among all those ticketholders at the next prize tier where there are winners.”
