Loyal German Shepherd Refuses To Leave Owner’s Grave

Images that are viral on social media right now shows a loyal German shepherd refusing to leave the grave of their owner.

According to reports, the owner of the dog passed away around 9 days ago.

Since the loss of his wife around 12 years ago, Omer Guven, the owner of the dog, moved to Kaymakli in the northern Turkish province of Trabzon.

After moving to that place, he started to take care of stray cats and dogs.

People in his city respected him and regarded him as an animal lover.

Fero, the dog in the pictures that we shared, was brought in by Omer around 11 years ago.

The sad thing is that on October 29, Omar became ill and was rushed to the hospital, where he passed away at the age of 92.

A day after his death he was buried, and Fero was brought to the site and since that day, the dog has refused to move.

Omer’s daughter Sevilay Surul said:

My father loved Fero very much. He also had an incredible love for my father. He was so sad over the loss of my father. He didn’t eat or sleep for two days. My father loved all animals and kept them, but he had a special bond with Fero.

Sevil Guven, the other daughter of Omer, said:

My father was a cheerful person who loved both people and animals. Fero came to the village as a stray dog. He adopted Fero and loved him very much.

Temel Yilmaz, the community leader in Kaymakli, said:

Uncle Omer took great care of animals. Fero was devastated when he passed away. We even saw tears flowing from Fero’s eyes.

It’s sad when someone we love passes away.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Omer, may his rest in peace. a
