Texas boy saves parents and little sister from fiery wreck by beating out flames with his hands

An 11-year-old boy from Texas, USA, is currently being hailed as a hero for saving his parents and little sister from a fiery wreck.

The boy reportedly used his jacket and bare hands to beat out the flames when he tried to save his family from death.

Anthony Canales, the boy, was thrown from the SUV of his family when the accident happened on a highway near Poteet, which is around 30 miles south of San Antonio back on January 31, 2021.

The vehicle of the family reportedly rolled and crashed into a ditched after Sabrina, the mother of the boy, fell asleep when she was driving.

Anthony managed to suffer minor injuries despite being thrown out from the vehicle when the accident happened.

Alfonso, his father, and Serenity, his 3-year-old sister, were trapped inside the vehicle.

Serenity was pinned underneath a speaker box after the car rolled.

During an interview with local news agency Fox14, Anthony said that the he ran towards the car after seeing flames on the underside of the  vehicle.

The boy said he used his jacket and hands to get rid of the flames.

He added:

I had to because if I didn’t do it something could’ve gone wrong. The truck could’ve blown up and my sister and my dad were still in there.

The little sister of Anthony suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The parents of the boy suffered harsh injuries and had severe damages on their rib sand backs.

The father of Anthony was left with a gash on his head, which required surgery.

The SUV of the family was completely destroyed in the horrifying accident.

The family is currently recovering from the horrifying accident.
