A woman was left horrified after the chicken wings that she had ordered had a whole chicken head amongst them.
Brittani Paulhamus said that she ordered a bucket of wings from Old School Pizza in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Talking about the incident with Today Food, she said:
I bit into a wing and you know, all was fine. I picked up the second wing, and all of a sudden, I’m like, ‘Why is the shape weird?’
Once she got over the incident, she took a couple of pictures of the chicken head and shared them on social media.
She added:
I just I had to post it because it’s not everyday you open your wing container and get a chicken head instead of just one of the wings. At least it’s a chicken part. I ordered wings before from there and I actually thought they were really good. I never expected to open the container and get a chicken head, though.
She then contacted the restaurant and explained the entire problem.
The Old School Pizza then offered her a refund and asked her to send them the had back to them so they could know what happened.
She continued:
I mean, it is what it is. Though I didn’t go and pick up the refund. Honestly, it doesn’t matter. Like at the end of the day, it’s funny to me now. I look back on Friday and I laugh about it more than I’m disgusted by it.
The restaurant confirmed the incident and apologized for the unfortunate happening.
In their apology letter, they said:
We’ve been open nearly 13 years and have sold tons of wings every week and have never seen anything like this. The supplier is looking into how such a thing could have happened and how it could have passed through so many checkpoints and gone unnoticed.
The Old School Pizza said that they have contacted their suppliers.
The suppliers, who were not named, said they are looking into the incident and are trying to find out how the chicken head made its way into the bag of the chicken wings.
