105-Year-Old Woman Who Beat Coronavirus Says Gin-Soaked Raisins Helped Her Survive

A 105-year-old woman from New Jersey, USA, who tested positive for the coronavirus said that Gin-Soaked raises helped her survive.

The woman tested positive one day after she received her second vaccine shot of the virus.

Lucia DeClerkc, the oldest resident at her nursing house in New Jersey, said that she had contracted the virus on January 25, 2021.

That date was also her 105th birthday.

The elderly woman lived through the Spanish Flu, 2 World Wars, and the deaths of her son along with 3 husbands.

The woman said she did not want to be isolated and was missing the daily chatters that she used to have with the caregivers at the Mystic Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing.

Luckily, she survived and is now okay.

Talking about her long life, she said that it is important for a person to pray and avoid junk food.

Talking about surviving the virus, she said that her golden raisins helped her a lot.

The woman eats 9-gin soaked golden raisins on a daily basis, preferably in the morning.

The woman also drinks aloe vera juice and brushes her teeth with baking soda.

Shawn Laws O’Neil, the 53-year-old granddaughter of the woman, said;

We would just think, ‘Grandma, what are you doing? You’re crazy.’ Now the laugh is on us. She has beaten everything that’s come her way. Now all of us are rushing out and getting Mason jars and yellow raisins and trying to catch up. She is just the epitome of perseverance. Her mind is so sharp. She will remember things when I was a kid that I don’t even remember.

Lucia has 2 sons, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Stay strong and happy Lucia!
