A woman from India is making headlines after they booked an entire business class cabin of a flight just so their pet dog could stay comfortable.

For context, an average business class ticket from Mumbai to Chennai, where the man was headed, can cost you anywhere from around Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 20,000.

That means the man paid anywhere from Rs. 2,00,000 to Rs. 2,40,000 for the entire business cabin, considering that the Air India flight from Mumbai to Chennai has around 12 business class seats.

A report by Mid-Day.com said that the ‘J’ or business class of an Air India flight from Mumbai to Chennai on September 15, 2021 was booked so that ‘K9’ could travel with its owner in absolute ‘luxury and peace’.

The aircraft, an Airbus A320, has around 12 business class seats.

Small inoffensive domestic pets such as dogs, cats and birds, accompanied by valid Health and Rabies vaccination certificates, will be accepted on Air India domestic flights in the cabin or in cargo hold at owner’s risk and subject to requirements of the carrier.

The identity of the woman was not released by the press due to privacy reasons.
