Taliban Bans Barbers From Shaving Men’s Beards

The long beard is back.

Barbers in Afghanistan have been banned from cutting the beard of men.

Men in the Helmand Province in Afghanistan will no longer be able to have their beards trimmed thanks to the new law that was enforced by the Taliban.

Some barbers in the country’s capital of Kabul have also been given similar orders.

Anyone that is breaking the law will be punished by the members of the Taliban, however, the type of punishment that they will get remains unreported.

The Taliban is making and implementing new rules in the country based on the interpretation of the Islamic Law, which is also called as the Sharia Law.

A barber in Kabul said that the Taliban is sending in members of the group into barbers in secret to make sure that the barbers are following the rules that they have implemented.

The barber, who was not named, said:

The fighters keep coming and ordering us to stop trimming beards. One of them told me they can send undercover inspectors to catch us.

Barbers have also received a call from local officials telling them to “stop following American styles”.
