This Woman Was Hypnotized Into Thinking She Had Gastric Band Surgery, She Ended Up Losing 4 Stone

A woman from Kent, UK, is currently making headlines all over the world because of the story that she has.

25-year-old Ruby Moseley, who is from Kent, lost a third of her body weight after undergoing hypnosis.

She was convinced that she had a gastric band surgery.

The woman says she had been overweight for as long as she could remember.

The woman said her eating habits were unhealthy and she would miss meals before binge eating comfort food when she got any chance.

Luckily, things changed.

After meeting a friend that had lost a lot of weight thanks to gastric band surgery, Ruby decided to look into some of the things that she could do in order to lose weight.

The woman did not want full surgery, so she ended up trying to get cognitive behavior therapy at the Gastric Mind Band Treatment in Fuengirola, Spain.

Marion, the grandmother of the overweight woman, paid £3,370 for her to start the treatment at the Elite Clinic.

The woman reportedly had 4 intensive CBT sessions before they were hypnotized into believing that she had the surgery.

After all that, she is now 13st and is around the size of 12, which is considered as a healthy size.

She wants to get 11 stone.

Talking about the things that she had to, Ruby said:

Ruby now weighs 13st and is a healthy size 12, with a target of 11st. They took me through an in-depth questionnaire covering my childhood, my background, my past relationship with food and just about every aspect of me, to see what my triggers were. Essentially I was over-eating when I was stressed, tired and depressed. We looked at why I would quit a diet and how to change that. Day four was the final and deep hypnosis session, where they talk patients through their own ‘virtual’ gastric band ‘surgery’. At the clinic they had all kinds of surgical models to explain aspects of the surgical gastric band procedure and I was shown a film of an actual operation. They connected me to a type of heart monitoring machine before I was hypnotised. While I was under, I remember thinking I was wearing a medical gown. I felt myself being wheeled into an operating theatre, and could vividly hear the sounds of the medical instruments being picked up and put down. As the surgeons ‘started the procedure’, Marion, my therapist, placed a golf ball into my hand and I was told to squeeze it. As I did, I felt the band tighten around my stomach. It was really surreal.

After losing a lot of weight, Ruby said she feels amazing.

Not only that, the woman says she is now more confident.

Ruby also keeps a golf ball in her handbag so she could be reminded that she does not have to eat too much throughout the day.

Amazing story!
