Fisherman Finds Extremely Rare Shark Egg Floating In Atlantic Ocean

A fisherman from Brazil was left in complete shock after they found an extremely rare shark egg floating freely in the Atlantic Ocean.

43-year-old Erivaldo Alves Silva, the fisherman, was the one who found the rare shark egg.

They captured the moment in the waters off the Fernando de Noronha Archipelago, which is around 220 miles from the Brazilian Coast.

Silva said he was driving to catch an octopus in the waters when he came across the unusual looking specimen.

Initially, he had no idea what it was, but after posting images of the found on social media, he found out that it was a shark egg.

Talking about the egg that he found, Silva said:

At first I thought it was weird, but I didn’t think it was that weird. Only after I posted in my Stories did people say it was a rare find. Then, after I realised what people told me, I was really happy. I have never seen such a thing in my life. A shark egg, according to biologists, is a very rare find.

Erivaldo said that they found the egg on September 14, 2021.

The good thing is that they left the egg in the sea.
