Michael Jordan donates $10 million to open health clinics in his hometown

Michael Jordan, the hall of famer NBA player, has done something so amazing that it will help out thousands of people.

His Airness has donated $10 million to open health clinics in his hometown.

The money will be used in building 2 health centers in his hometown, which is Wilmington, North Carolina.

The money will help provide medical care to people that are uninsured and underinsured.

In a statement that they released after making the donation, they said:

Jordan has donated a total of $17 million to clinics that are run by the non-profit healthcare provider in Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia.

The 2 new clinics in Wilmington, North Carolina, are expected to be opened next year.

This is not the first time he has done something like this.

In the year 2019, he launched 2 clinics in Charlotte, which have seen more than 4500 patients.

Talking about the clinics, Jordan was emotional during the time when he opened them.

He said it was nice to give back to the community that supported him over the years.

When launching the clinic, he said:

When we came together to mark the first clinic’s opening last fall, no one could have predicted we would be facing a global pandemic just five months later. I’m so proud of the positive impact our clinic has had on the community so far, especially during Covid-19. Our second clinic will provide critical services to improve the health and lives of more Charlotteans, which is so important to me and to Novant Health.

Such an amazing thing to do.
