Student Who Has Struggled To Tell Left From Right Gets Them Tattooed On Her Hands As A Reminder

A 23-year-old student from Australia who has always struggled to tell her left and her right ended up getting the initials of those on her hands in order to serve as a reminder.

Modern problems require modern solutions.

D’Kodia Laine, who is just 23, got the ink done on February 3, 2021.

Lauren Winzer, a well-known tattoo artist at Hunter & Fox, was the one that did the tattoo on the young student.

She got it in Alexandria, which is just 4 kilometers south of Sydney CBD.

Laine is a communications student from Canberra.

She told Daily Mail Australia that she used to have a hard time in telling her right from left.

During the interview, she said that she got some amusing reactions from her friends after she sent them the picture of her new tattoo.

The boyfriend of Laine said that he was delighted to know that she will never confuse her left and right again.

Talking about her problem, Laine said:

My friends would joke about how silly it looks having an adult make the L shape with your hands to differentiate.

Laine said that the issue came forward when she came to a head during a scavenger hunt at a party in Canberra last year.

She was nominated as the navigator for her team.

The woman said that she ended up taking a number of wrong turns because of the problem.

A friend then drew an L and R on her hands.

She added:

It started as a joke but it’s actually super useful and I don’t look dumb making an L with my fingers to figure it out.

It is actually helpful for people that have a hard time figuring out which one their left or right is.
